Topic 1: Navigational Design

Chosen place: the Curve

This is a paint-on signage, where it is painted directly on the wall.
I like the color combination which gives the impression that this building is new and has that taste of classy yet fun shopping experience waiting for the shoppers. The color combination is really eye popping for me. The design (right side) shows repeated colored body silhouette, most probably of a woman and this shows that this shopping mall is attracting women shoppers.
This sign is showing that that is level B2, directing shoppers to the escalator and soon the shops.

This is a standing sign board. Situated right next to the escalator, it shows what not to do while on the escalator and also telling you what level are you on (i.e B2) and which part of the building you are in (i.e the Walk).

The design is so simple and not so eye catching as it only mentioning the rules while on the escalator which people will ignore most of the time. I like how they place it next to the escalator itself.

This signage is hanging from the ceiling and also situated beside the escalators.

The design is quite the same as the first picture (above) but now it shows whats on level G to B2. What I don't get is why the signage only mentioned until level G as the building has more level than what has been mentioned on the it.

This somewhat can make people confuse as they may already think the building is huge from what they've seen from the outside.

Too much signage indicating where you are constantly can annoy people and can also become an eye-sore.

The level directory. Simple design, big question mark sign is a very good eye catcher and people would easily recognized and eventually go and take a look.

The color overall is nice, still maintaining the blue purpish. Color also is very nice to see, not bright colors that can hurt your eyes, this color combination somewhat give you time to rest your eyes a bit and then you can continue your shopping journey.

Every level would have one and it is very convenient for shoppers.

Each part of the building has its own specific name, stuck big onto the walls. This is rather good as whenever you got lost or you want to find family or friends, at least you know where you are. This is also very convenient to shoppers/consumers as they would know where to find their destination and goes back again if they need to without any difficulties.

Every shop would have this kind of label at the top right corner of the shop's entrance.

I very much like this kind of design or arrangement as it makes the labeling of the shop more sopisticated and very classy and also makes it easier for people who are coming from either sides to know what shop it is.

A very simple label yet has that classy edge to it.

Signage hanging from the ceiling is very common in this building and also any other building.

A good signage even showing where the management office is.

A huge multiple signage on one big wall.
This, if not mistaken, is situated around corner/dead end of the building. They give direction to the stated shops in case shoppers/consumers thought there are no available shops to go anymore.
The green color did grab my attention though design wise, not so much.
